The borough kicks off the holidays with a celebration-packed weekend December 2 & 3. Catch the QVC Christmas Parade filled with dancers, musicians, and St. Nick himself, dish with the big guy the next day at Breakfast With Santa, and enjoy live carol singers, hot cider and cocoa, and shops dressed in their holiday best. Nearby be sure to score big on treats for family, friends, hosts, and even yourself when you pick up presents at QVC Studios.

Charming State Street welcomes the season with special holiday weekends starting November 26. Watch for strolling carolers, carriage rides, and specials in the neighborhood's many shops and restaurants. Just down the road Longwood Gardens is bright and shiny for the holidays during A Longwood Christmas, featuring music floral and light displays, and instruments decorating the centerpiece 18-foot fir tree. Buy a special Christmas in Kennett admission ticket to the gardens and enjoy the free shuttle between town and Longwood running Saturdays through November 17.


Traditions and classic fun combine during Malvern's Victorian Christmas weekend, December 2 & 3. Carriage rides, pony rides, a live nativity, holiday games and crafts, art show, and a full line-up of live musical performances make for a full and festive experience. Be sure to stop into the many local shops and restaurants offering open houses, including deals, treats, and special holiday displays.


Christmas marches into town via Bridge Street when the borough hosts its annual Christmas Parade on December 2, followed immediately by the lighting of the downtown tree. The next day the lighting continues, this time at the popular Firebird Festival, a celebration featuring live music, craft and food vendors, and at nightfall the torching of a massive phoenix sculpture. Stop by later in the month to catch classic holiday films in the restored Colonial Theatre.
