The smoky aroma of barbecued meats, sizzling tacos, and grilled burgers drifts across the Kimberton Fairgrounds, mingling with the sweet notes of late-autumn apples and the warm strum of an acoustic guitar. Children run laughing between pens of curious goats and fuzzy alpacas, while families browse rows of vibrant produce, fresh bread, local meats and handcrafted goods. Everywhere you look, neighbors greet each other with smiles, arms full of local treasures. It’s Good Food Fest — and it feels like coming home.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Good Food Fest will once again transform the heart of Chester County into a vibrant celebration of local food, artistry, and community spirit. Now in its fifth year, the festival — organized by Growing Roots Partners and presented by Kimberton Whole Foods — has become a beloved tradition, where the bounty of the region is showcased not just in what we eat, but in how we come together.

At the heart of Good Food Fest is a simple but powerful idea: connection. Connection to the land, to the artisans and farmers who nurture it, and to one another. Over 120 local vendors will bring their harvests and handiwork, offering everything from organic produce and pasture-raised meats to small-batch ferments, artisan cheese, and handcrafted gifts. Underneath the fairground pavilions, visitors can sip local cider, savor seasonal dishes from food trucks, and chat with the makers whose passion and hard work bring these products to life.

Live music from Frog Holler Band fills the air with an Americana vibe that feels tailor-made for the occasion. Children can meet farm animals up-close and dive into creative activities, while adults enjoy cooking demonstrations and the chance to meet some of the region’s most inspiring culinary voices. For those looking to start early, VIP ticket holders can arrive at 10:00 AM and enjoy a swag bag packed with local goodies — a true taste of the festival's spirit.

For Christy Campli, owner of Growing Roots Partners, Good Food Fest is about more than showcasing great food; it's about celebrating the people behind it. “This festival is a love letter to our farmers, our makers, and our community,” she says. “It’s about the joy of gathering, the power of supporting local, and the simple beauty of knowing where your food comes from.”

The impact of the festival stretches beyond the festivities. Last year’s event drew more than 4,200 guests and generated over $170,000 in sales for small businesses, a tangible sign of the community’s growing commitment to strengthening local food systems. Vendors describe the day as energizing and inspiring. "It was like a big family reunion," said a representative from New Road Brinery, a first-time exhibitor in 2024. "The connection with the customers and other vendors was something truly special."

For Kimberton Whole Foods, a pioneer in local food advocacy, supporting Good Food Fest is a natural extension of their mission. "It’s a celebration of everything we stand for — community, sustainability, and the incredible richness of our local food economy," says founder and CEO Terry Brett.

Whether you’re a seasoned locavore or just beginning your journey into the world of local food, Good Food Fest offers a warm, welcoming place to connect, celebrate, and discover. Rain or shine — with all activities comfortably under cover — the festival promises a day filled with good food, great music, and even better memories.

Tickets go on sale July 1, with special early bird pricing through October 2. General admission is $10, VIP access is $25, and “Local Lover” tickets — which include a charitable donation to the Chester County Food Bank — are available for $50. Children under 12 attend free.
