Chester County’s Brandywine Valley is the place to be this season as the bright skies will sparkle by day and glow at night. Helicopters, airplanes and lanterns take to the sky plus spectacular fountains & fireworks light up magical warm evenings.
Longwood Gardens' Main Fountain Garden opens the spectacular season with a summer-long Festival of Fountains May 9 through September 28, 2025. Fountains dance and soar up to 175 feet and Illuminated Fountain Performances take center stage on Thursday through Saturday evenings. Special Fireworks & Fountains shows are scheduled: July 3, July 13, August 9, August 31, September 13 and September 27. Evening events call for accommodations so plan ahead to not be disappointed as rooms and tickets go quickly. All seating for Fireworks & Fountains Shows is reserved. Reserved seating allows you to select your seat, then arrive to your seat placed and waiting for you—no need to bring your own chair.
Bring the whole crew to The American Helicopter Museum’s World Helicopter Day on Sunday, August 17, 2025. For a special treat schedule helicopter rides for a bird’s-eye-view of the beautiful countryside.
Take the whole family to New Garden Airport's Festival of Flight on August 23rd and 24th. Look to the sky for stunt demonstrations, a drone show and fireworks! Back on earth enjoy antique car and aircraft displays; food and craft vendors; a wine & beer garden and more.
On September 25, see a spectacle like no other. The Lights Festival returns to Plantation Field, right outside of Kennett Square, to dazzle and amaze, with hundreds of floating lanterns to light up the night sky.
