Known simply as “The Station” to West Grove residents, The Station Hand-Dipped Ice Cream and Water Ice keeps locals happy all summer long with their unique ice cream creations and friendly service. Owner Samantha always offers a warm greeting as if she has known you for years. The Station’s home is the original West Grove Train Station dating back to 1890. A quaint brick building with ample seating for families to enjoy their treats. 50’s music plays as our heads bop while enjoying our treats!
Asking guests their favorite flavor may start a small inter family skirmish! The kids love Cotton Candy Confetti and Cookie Dough while adults indulge in Holy Cow. Holy Cow, I must say, had my immediate attention with its Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Peanut Butter Cups swirled with Caramel. Guests may select from a large menu of over 30 Ice Cream and a dozen Water Ice flavors. You will be sure to find a favorite!
Also known for their homemade ice cream sandwiches that include fresh-made warm waffle ice cream sandwiches! Their Featured Sundaes menu intrigued me with unique combinations such as Monkey in the Middle which includes fresh banana slices sandwiched between layers of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce.
Everyone looks forward to their “Feature Flavors of the Month” which have included Banana Daiquiri, Tiramisu and Campfire S’mores to name a few. New to the menu for 2020 is Chilly Willy. The Stations version of a water ice and shake combo!
