This winter brings two companion exhibits full of inspiration. Votes for Women: A Visual History marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. In the absence of television, suffragists used posters, magazines, parades and more to drive their message.
Witness to History explores the 1965 civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama through 55 photographs taken by a then-student, Stephen Somerstein, along with his commentary.
