Anson B. Nixon Park

This 106 acre hidden gem is nestled just north of charming downtown Kennett Square. This natural setting includes 2 ponds, streams, woodlands including a beech grove with specimens dating back over 250 years, and 3 miles of walking trails. Recreational activities include tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer and lacrosse fields, a performance pavilion, as well as picnic pavilions.

Black Rock Sanctuary

The Sanctuary consists of 119 acres of wetlands, woodlands and meadows and is dedicated to wildlife habitat and public use. Discover the history, geology, wildlife, plant life and habitats of the basin by walking along the interpretive trail and visiting one of the many education stations along the way.  The sky over Black Rock is a flyway, or air highway, for birds that migrate up and down the East Coast. Our wetlands attract waterfowl and provide for other plants and animals.

Boulder Falls Mini Golf

The premier 18 hole mini golf course in all of Chester County.  Boulder Falls features a cascading waterfall with winding streams flowing into flowing ponds, making your putting game more exciting.

Brandywine Outfitters Canoe Company

Brandywine Outfitters Inc. will carry you and your family and friends out of time on a scenic canoe trip down the Brandywine River. In the morning, paddle down the river through one of the most beautiful parts of Pennsylvania, then take a break for lunch at mid-day. Close the day canoeing through Southern Chester County. Brandywine Polo Fields & Club

Brandywine Polo Fields have four tournament sized polo fields, each with ample parking for spectator viewing.  Our fields can be further divided for soccer with up to 8 fields, or lacrosse with up to 10 fields.  Location can hold up to as many as 4,000 people.

Broad Run Golfer’s Club

The 18-hole "Broad Run" course features 6,826 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72; the course rating is 73.0 and it has a slope rating of 132.  Designed by Phil Larsen/Rees Jones, ASGCA, the Broad Run golf course opened in 2000. Jeff Broadbelt manages the course as the General Manager.

Chanticleer Garden

Chanticleer is a 35 acre garden featuring lush courtyards of tropicals, perennials, containers, cut flower and vegetable garden; water gardens, ponds, exotic woodlands and spectacular ruin garden.

Chester County Department of Facilities & Parks

Chester County Parks manages over 4,600 acres of dedicated public parkland, created to preserve natural, cultural and historical resources.  Every season offers a variety of programs and passive recreational opportunities.

Chester County Historical Society

Chester Valley Trail

The Chester Valley Trail is a multi-use, rail-to-trail facility that roughly follows U.S. Routes 30 and 202 through central Chester County from West Whiteland Township east into Montgomery County. The location is home to one of the largest concentrations of employment and population in the Philadelphia region outside of Center City, and the trail provides a key connection of “The Circuit”, the planned 750-mile trail network throughout Greater Philadelphia.   

Delaware Museum of Natural History

Explore an African watering hole,a giant squid, Chinese dinosaurs, the hands on discovery room, a walk-over barrier reef and other creatures from around the world. Special exhibits and events year-round.

French Creek State Park

More than 35 miles of well-marked trails cover a large portion of the park’s 7,475 acres.  Hikers at French Creek have a wide variety of opportunities for quiet reflection, nature study and physical challenge.

Grand Slam USA

Grand Slam U.S.A. is over 30,000 square feet of indoor family fun. We have activities and sports for all ages. Camping at Hibernia County Park begins the first full weekend in May and continues through the last weekend in October, weather permitting.
